Annual fundraiser at Pier A supports children’s charities with a 5K, kids’ run, and after-party.
The Party With Purpose 5K and after-party will take place Tuesday, July 28, at Pier A in Hoboken, raising funds for local children’s charities.
Founded after the 9/11 attacks, the all-volunteer nonprofit has donated over $1 million to organizations including the Boys and Girls Club and TRUE Mentors, bringing the community together for two decades.
The 5K race starts at 7 p.m. at Pier A, with a Kids Fun Run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tickets for the 5K are $50, the VIP option is $75, and the Fun Run costs $10 for the public.
“Work Hard. Play Hard. Give Hard,” is the motto of Party With Purpose, according to the organization.
Impact: Proceeds benefit children’s programs at the Boys and Girls Club, TRUE Mentors, Community Lifestyle, and the Hoboken Historical Museum.
What Happens Next: Registration is open online, and updates are posted on the group’s Instagram page @party.w.purpose.
The event continues to unite residents and professionals in supporting Hoboken’s youth.
