Free festival returns September 26 along Sinatra Drive with music, arts, and family activities.
The City of Hoboken will bring back the River City Fair, a free waterfront music, arts, and culture festival, on Saturday, September 26th, along Sinatra Drive from First to Fifth Street. Mayor Emily Jabbour made the announcement, reviving an event first held in the 1970s.
The festival, running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., aims to reconnect the community with the Hudson River waterfront and showcase local talent, businesses, and organizations. It comes as Hoboken continues to expand public programming along its revitalized shoreline.
The River City Fair will feature two stages: a main stage at Pier A and a kid’s zone at Sinatra Park.
Headlining the main stage will be Cherokee Social, an indie pop duo from Colorado, preceded by local bands. Sinatra Park will host youth performers, bounce houses, and Dinosaurs Arise.
‘The River City Fair was always about bringing people together to celebrate our waterfront, our arts community, our local businesses, and the people who make Hoboken so unique,’ said Mayor Emily Jabbour.
Impact: Residents and visitors can expect live entertainment, local artist and maker booths, food vendors, community organization tables, and family-friendly activities. The festival is free and open to all ages.
What Happens Next: Vendor applications will open in August. The event is organized by the Division of Cultural Affairs and sponsored by the Hoboken Business Alliance.
The revival of the River City Fair continues Hoboken’s tradition of celebrating its waterfront and local culture this fall.
