Hoboken’s First Coffee Crawl Brews History and Community

On Sunday, September 20, the Hoboken Historical Museum will host the city’s first-ever Coffee Crawl, a self-guided tour from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. that winds through more than 25 local cafes and sweet shops.

For $35 (museum members) or $40 (general admission), participants get one sample at each stop along the route. Check-in starts at the museum, 1301 Hudson Street, where you’ll pick up your map and wristband. From there, you’re free to wander at your own pace—no group, no schedule, just coffee and a cause.

Participating cafes include Empire Coffee + Tea, Alfalfa, Bwe Cafe, Joboken Cafe, and Hidden Grounds, with sweet stops like Julietta’s Gelato + Cafe and Two Crepes rounding out the lineup. Each shop will have sample sips ready for crawlers.

For those who want a little extra, a $60 VIP ticket (21+) adds a complimentary espresso martini from Living Room Bar at the W Hotel, a museum tote bag, a canned martini from Velvet Llama, and a full bottle of Graza extra virgin olive oil, among other perks. All ticket sales benefit the museum’s exhibitions, education initiatives, and community programming.
