Teachers and service professionals recognized for excellence in the district.

North Bergen educators and educational service professionals were celebrated Monday at the annual Governor’s Educator & Educational Services Professional of the Year Awards Luncheon, hosted by the Board of Education at North Bergen High School.

The event, sponsored by the North Bergen Education Foundation and the North Bergen Federation of Teachers, honors nominees selected by their peers for dedication to academic excellence and student success.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. George Solter praised the honorees, saying, ‘There is no bigger honor than to be chosen by your peers and recognized for the things that you do every day.’

Award recipients for the 2025-2026 school year include Clara Ragone (Teacher of the Year) and Danielle Shibuya (Educational Service Professional of the Year) from John F. Kennedy School, among others from schools across the district.

‘These outstanding professionals represent the very best of our district. Their passion, commitment, and compassion have a lasting impact on our students, and we are proud to celebrate their achievements,’ said Dr. George Solter, Superintendent of Schools.
