Scholarship honors 19-year-old Sophia Donath, who loved music and theater.

The family of 19-year-old Sophia Donath, a former student at PS 3, LCCS, and High Tech High School, has created a scholarship in her memory after her unexpected death on June 20.

The scholarship, funded through a GoFundMe campaign, will support young performing artists in Jersey City, reflecting Sophia’s passion for music and theater.


Sophia Donath, 19, passed away unexpectedly on June 20.

She was a student at Public School 3, Learning Community Charter School, and High Tech High School.

‘Sophia passionately loved music, theater, and performing on stage,’ her family said in a statement.
