JERSEY CITY, N.J. —

ClearRisk AI aims to streamline auto insurance claims processing for adjusters nationwide.

ClearRisk AI, a Jersey City-based technology startup, announced Tuesday it has raised $15 million in Series A funding to expand its artificial intelligence platform designed to assist insurance claims adjusters. The round was led by Hudson Ventures, with participation from several regional angel investors. The company plans to use the capital to hire 30 new employees at its headquarters in the Harborside district.

The investment signals growing confidence in Hudson County’s burgeoning tech sector, particularly in fintech and insurtech. For local readers, the expansion means new high-skilled jobs and reinforces Jersey City’s reputation as a growing hub for AI-driven business solutions.

ClearRisk AI’s platform uses computer vision and natural language processing to help adjusters review car accident report forms, photos, and sketches more efficiently. The company says its technology can reduce claim processing times by up to 40% while maintaining accuracy, a key selling point for insurers facing rising costs and staffing shortages.

Our goal is to give adjusters superpowers, not replace them. By automating the tedious parts of reviewing forms and images, we free them up to focus on the human judgment calls that really matter. — Maria Santos, CEO of ClearRisk AI

⚡ The $15 million Series A brings ClearRisk AI’s total funding to $22 million. The company currently employs 45 people, with plans to grow to 75 by the end of 2026. Average salaries for the new roles are expected to exceed $90,000 annually.

🔄 ClearRisk AI expects to begin hiring for engineering, product, and customer success roles within the next 30 days. The company also plans to launch an updated version of its platform in the third quarter of 2026.

The funding round closed earlier this month, according to regulatory filings. ClearRisk AI was founded in 2023 and was a participant in the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s NJ Ignite program.
