The Hoboken Rockets organization secured three separate hockey championships during the 2024-2025 season, earning official recognition from the Hudson County Board of County Commissioners.
This marks a historic achievement for the amateur hockey organization based in Hoboken, which has been a fixture in the community for over three decades under founder Roger J. Muller Jr.

The Hoboken White Rockets claimed the Smythe Division title and the Patrick Division title, both at The Icehouse in Hackensack.
Commissioner Anthony L. Romano Jr. presented all three proclamations to the teams.
‘It was a championship that no one saw coming, and one that no one on the roster will ever forget,’ said the organization in a statement.
Impact: For Hoboken residents and youth hockey players, the Rockets’ success underscores the strength of community-based amateur sports and provides inspiration for local athletes.
What Happens Next: The teams will be formally honored at a future meeting of the Hudson County Board of County Commissioners. No date has been announced yet.
