Sunday procession celebrates historic World Series run, first in city history.
The City of Bayonne will hold a parade Sunday to honor its Little League team’s remarkable run in the Little League World Series, Mayor Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski announced.
This marks the first time a Bayonne team has competed in the Little League World Series, a source of pride for the community after the team’s victories made national headlines.
The parade is set for Sunday, September 13th, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, starting at 30th Street and Avenue C.
The procession will head east on 30th Street to Broadway, then south to 5th Street, and west to Avenue C before finishing at the Little League facility at 1st Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard.
“The City of Bayonne is extremely proud of our World Series heroes. We welcome this opportunity to honor the first team in Bayonne history that competed in a Little League World Series,” Mayor Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski said in a statement.
