Free event for children ages 5-12 at Lincoln Park on September 19.
Hudson County Executive Craig Guy announced the first-ever Kids Fun Run for children ages 5 to 12, part of the 5th Annual Strides for Safety 5K Against Gun Violence. The free event will be held Saturday, September 19, at 10 a.m. at Lincoln Park in Jersey City.
The addition is designed to involve entire families in the fight against gun violence, teaching young children the value of community safety and collective action.
The Kids Fun Run is free for children ages 5 to 12 and will take place at Lincoln Park at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19.
The event is part of the 5th annual Strides for Safety 5K, which brings together residents, families, elected officials, law enforcement, and community organizations to raise awareness about gun violence.
“When our children see their parents, neighbors, first responders and community leaders standing together for safer communities, they learn that they have a role to play too,” said Hudson County Executive Craig Guy.
