Township distributes special poster in summer mailer for residents to display.

North Bergen is inviting residents to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence by displaying a special poster included in the township’s annual summer mailer, officials announced Thursday.

The poster, which honors the nation’s 250th anniversary, allows the entire community to visibly participate in a historic milestone marking the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

Parks and Public Property Commissioner Hugo Cabrera encouraged residents to proudly display the poster in windows, homes, businesses, offices, and storefronts.

The poster was distributed as part of the township’s annual summer mailer, offering a visible way for neighborhoods to join together in the celebration.

‘America’s 250th anniversary gives us the opportunity to reflect on our shared history and celebrate the values that unite us as a nation,’ said Parks and Public Property Commissioner Hugo Cabrera.

Impact: The effort aims to create a unified community display throughout North Bergen, allowing residents to take part in a national commemoration from their own homes and workplaces.

What Happens Next: The celebration, known as America250, marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, and communities across the country are observing with special programs and tributes.

North Bergen residents are encouraged to participate by displaying the poster and joining other national events commemorating the historic occasion.
