Residents can take a survey to shape amenities at the 800 Monroe Street resiliency park.

The City of Hoboken is asking residents to complete a public survey that will influence the design of tennis courts and a dog run at the planned 800 Monroe Street resiliency park.

The park is part of a four-park network designed to capture stormwater and reduce flooding, while also offering recreational space. Resident feedback will help finalize those amenities before construction begins.

The survey is the fourth in a series of surveys on the project, and officials have held five public meetings since 2023 to gather input.

Once built, the park will store more than 340,000 gallons of stormwater during heavy rain, and will also include three tennis courts, dog runs, a plaza, garden spaces, an open lawn, and outdoor fitness equipment.

“The 800 Monroe Resiliency Park will help us advance both flood mitigation and recreational opportunities for our community,” said Mayor Emily B. Jabbour.

Impact: The park aims to reduce neighborhood flooding while giving residents new places to exercise and gather on dry days.

What Happens Next: The survey closes at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. The city expects to break ground in 2027.

DailyHudson will continue to follow this project as design plans are finalized.
