Free lottery gives children up to 16 a chance to see Norway vs. Senegal at MetLife Stadium on June 22.
The City of Hoboken announced a free community lottery that will give local youth a chance to attend the World Cup match between Norway and Senegal on Monday, June 22, at 8:00 PM at MetLife Stadium.
The lottery, announced Monday, June 16, is part of a partnership with the Governor’s Office, the New York New Jersey Host Committee, Uber, and Choose New Jersey. It aims to provide four families with a unique sports experience, allowing one child and one guardian per winning pair to attend the match.
Registration is open to Hoboken children up to 16 years old through the RecDesk platform.
Guardians must upload a photo of their child playing soccer, learning about soccer, or cheering for a soccer player to qualify.
Winners will be announced at the Hoboken Big Match Block Party on Friday, June 19, on Grand Street between 14th and 15th Streets.
Impact: This initiative provides a rare, cost-free opportunity for local families to attend a major international sporting event together.
What Happens Next: Registration closes on Thursday, June 18, at 5:00 PM. Families can sign up online via the RecDesk portal.
DailyHudson will follow up with details on the winners and the block party.
