Popular Hoboken bakeshop expands to 333 Palisade Avenue.
Baking Mama, a beloved small-batch bakeshop in Hoboken, will open a new location at 333 Palisade Avenue in Jersey City, according to a social media post from @jerseycityhappyhours.
The expansion brings a favorite dessert destination to Jersey City residents, giving them local access to cookies, cakes, cupcakes, macarons, and other baked goods previously only available in Hoboken.
The shop is family-owned and woman- and AAPI-owned, founded by baker Tina Rivera in December 2015 at 88 Hudson Street in Hoboken.
Rivera began baking for her son, who attended Stevens, and later expanded into a full business, also owning Hey Coffee People.
Baking Mama has become a neighborhood staple for ready-made desserts, custom-baked goods, and dangerously convenient treats for anyone walking to or from the PATH, according to owner Tina Rivera in past interviews.
Impact: Residents of Jersey City Heights and beyond will soon have easier access to viral menu items like classic chocolate chip cookies, lemon loaf, and gluten-free treats.
What Happens Next: No opening date has been announced yet. DailyHudson will update this story when more details become available.
Dessert lovers in Jersey City can anticipate a new local bakery option from a trusted Hudson County name.
